FAQ'S

1. Do I have to stay at the host hotel to join the trip?

No. Staying at Chelles is optional. You may stay elsewhere and still participate fully in the group experience.

2. Will I miss any activities if I don’t stay at the host hotel?

Yes, you may miss some activities, but not all.

The host hotel is strategically located on the east end of the island, which allows us to design a flow that blends Garifuna culture with a well-rounded RoatΓ‘n experience beyond Settlement Day itself.

Guests who do not stay at the host hotel will still participate in key experiences, including:

The Garifuna & RoatΓ‘n Heritage Tour

Settlement Day shuttle service (based on the option selected)

The group Tiki Boat Cruise

These experiences ensure you are fully present for the cultural highlights and the festival itself. The activities you may miss are those designed specifically around the hotel location and extended island immersion.

If you’re unsure which option fits your travel plans best, we’re happy to talk it through with you before you decide.

3. Is this trip physically demanding?

Most activities are moderate and accessible. Settlement Day involves walking and standing during celebrations. Let us know in advance if you have mobility concerns.

4. Is this trip family friendly?

Yes. Families are welcome, but parents should be mindful that Settlement Day celebrations can be long and energetic, also children will not be allowed at night events.

5. What's not included?

Flights to Roatan

Meals not listed in the itinerary

Personal expenses and souvenirs

6. Can I join if I am unable to stay the entire 7 days?
