Arrive to Roatan, settle into the rhythm of the island, and gather for a welcome dinner to connect with the group and set the tone for the week ahead.
Day 2 | Garifuna Roots & Community Life
Begin with an introduction to Garifuna history and culture, followed by time experiencing daily life on the island. The evening brings community-led cultural events in Punta Gorda.
Day 3 | Island Pace
Enjoy a relaxed beach day in Camp Bay and return to Punta Gorda in the evening to continue participating in community celebrations leading up to Settlement Day.
Day 4 | Garifuna Settlement Day
Spend the day immersed in Settlement Day ceremonies, music, food, and celebrations in Punta Gorda, with transportation available throughout the day to support participation.
Day 5 | Rest & Reflection
A free day to rest, explore independently, or reflect on the experiences of Settlement Day at your own pace.
Day 6 | Adventure & Island Contrast
Explore another side of Roatan through adventure and beach time in West Bay, offering contrast and context to the islandβs diverse landscapes and lifestyles.
Day 7 | Closing Celebration
End the week with a sunset cruise and shared reflections as the group comes together one final time.
